Established in 1973, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has grown into a global enterprise dedicated to the research, development, and production of core electronic components. In its early stages, the company laid a solid foundation for the development of domestic component technology in Korea through the production of audio-visual components. Subsequently, it expanded its business scope to include materials and computer components in the 1980s; from the 1990s onwards, it focused on the development of chip components, mobile communication components, and optical components.
